Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

ABOUT US
Faith Bible Church of Bradenton, Inc. was established as the First Evangelical Free Church of Bradenton, Inc. in January, 1980.
We've come a long way since then but we're still the same strong bible teaching church we began as back then.

We started out in a local school and eventually moved to our own property on Morgan Johnson Rd, where we are today and built our sanctuary and a few classrooms.  Sometime in the mid '90's, we were able to add on a sunday school wing to the main building and in 2005 we added a house to the north next door to the church as the Multi-use Student Building for our church. In January, 2007 we changed our name to Faith Bible Church of Bradenton, Inc, an Evangelical Free Church. And in April 2008, we celebrated the completion of that Multi-use Student Building renovation with our "Celebration Sunday."

As with all things, time brings many changes.  Our beloved Pastor Mark has been with us for over 17 years. This is an extremely long period for a Pastor to have a congregation to nurture and teach like he has and over that time, Pastor Mark has truly been able to call us all his extended family. But time marches on and God's will be done. Pastor Mark and his family will leave us for their new home in Moline, Illinois where he is to be the new Senior Pastor at Homewood EFC church on July 22nd. Congratulations Pastor Mark on your new position!
In the intierim, we're enjoying Dr. Harry Morgan who is featured on our front page!

ABOUT THE EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH OF AMERICA

From the EFCA.org website:
WHO WE ARE: The Evangelical Free Church of America is an association of some 1,500 autonomous and interdependent churches and church plants united by a mutual commitment to serve our Lord Jesus Christ under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and obedience to the Word of God. We are committed to cooperate with one another in ministry and fellowship as we seek to fulfill the Great Commission which Christ has entrusted to His Church. The growing ministry of the EFCA currently extends to some 50 countries of the world.

WHAT DOES "EVANGELICAL" MEAN? The term "Evangelical" refers to our faith, our theology. We are committed to the proclamation of the Gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ, and to the Scriptures as being the inspired, inerrant, authoritative and sufficient Word of God.

WHAT DOES "FREE" MEAN? The term "Free" refers to our polity, our structure and organization. We are committed to a congregational form of government.

In sum, we are evangelical, which is an affirmation of our "like faith," our theology, our theological convictions (see the Statement of Faith); we are free, which is an affirmation of our polity, our structure, our organization–we are autonomous, congregationally governed, and interdependent (Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws).
